Security Committee-in-a-Box shortlisted for Innovation of the Year at Insurance Times Awards

Insurance DataLab’s Security Committee-in-a-Box has been shortlisted for another major industry award after being named a finalist in the Innovation of the Year – Service Provider category at the Insurance Times Awards 2026.

It marks the second time the platform has been recognised by Insurance Times this year, following its shortlisting for Innovation of the Year at the Technology & Innovation Awards.

Security Committee-in-a-Box gives brokers access to independent, evidence-led insight to support their insurer oversight, product governance and placement processes, as well as helping to ensure better customer outcomes.

At its heart is Insurance DataLab’s Insurer Performance Index, which brings together data covering claims, complaints, solvency and underwriting to provide brokers with a consistent framework for assessing the insurers they work with.

The platform was developed to make robust insurer oversight accessible to brokers of all sizes, including those that may not have the resources to operate a formal security committee of their own.

Insurance DataLab co-founder Matt Scott said: “We’re incredibly excited to see Security Committee-in-a-Box shortlisted for another Insurance Times award. To be recognised for a second time this year is a fantastic endorsement of what we have created and the problem we are trying to solve for brokers.

“We developed Security Committee-in-a-Box to help brokers carry out robust, evidence-led insurer oversight without creating another huge administrative burden. Insurer oversight is becoming an increasingly important consideration for brokers, and this latest recognition gives us even more confidence that we are addressing an important need across the market.”
